The Servant (band)


 

The Servant is a London-based alternative band that is popular in Britain and France, among other European countries. The band is made up of Dan Black, who performs vocals and guitar, as well as Chris, Matt, and Trevor. Singles include Orchestra, Liquefy, and Cells. However, despite their success in most of Europe, they struggled to catch the audience's attention outside Europe.

An instrumental version of their song Cells was featured in the trailers for Sin City, which was the first time an American audience experienced the group. The song is not on the Sin City soundtrack, but is available for download on the band's website using a special password, which changes approximately every forty days. They are currently in the process of producing a second album.

The Servant released two mini albums: Mathematics in 1999 and With The Invisible in 2000, before achieving commercial success in 2004 with The Servant, which was released by Prolifica Records in the UK and by Recall Group in France.
