The Searchers (band)
The Searchers are a British rock act who emerged as part of the Merseybeat era along with The Beatles, The Swinging Blue Jeans and Gerry and the Pacemakers.

The band's heyday was in the 1960s and their hits included "Needles And Pins," "Sugar and Spice," "Sweets For My Sweet" and "Don't Throw Your Love Away", as well as a cover of The Clovers' "Love Potion No. 9". For a brief period in the early 1960s their fame rivalled that of the Beatles.
