The Rolling Stones are a British rock group who rose to prominence during the 1960s. The Rolling Stones were original in weaving together various strands of composition into a new form of popular music, and by their 1969 tour of the U.S.A were being introduced as "The Greatest Rock & Roll Band in the World, The Rolling Stones".
