The Plank

The Plank is a popular 45-minute, 1967 British slapstick comedy. It follows the adventures of two builders that required a floorboard.

It starred Tommy Cooper and Eric Sykes, and had a supporting cast of many other famous comedy actors. It was written and directed by Eric Sykes. An earlier, slightly longer edit of the film has been released on DVD.

Eric Sykes remade the film for Thames Television in 1979, with Arthur Lowe in the Tommy Cooper role.
