Chaplin plays an escaped convict who steals clothes to get rid of this prison uniform. He ends up in a small town mistaken for someone else. Not quite a feature length production, it was longer than the well known two-reel comedies of the silent era. It is also noted as the last film Chaplin's brother Sydney Chaplin played in with Charlie and the first film for 'Dinky' Dean Riesner. Riesner became a screenwriter in his later years.
