The Pathological Liar

The Pathological Liar is a character created and portrayed by Jon Lovitz on the American sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live. The character's name was actually Tommy Flanagan, and he would tell outrageous, unbelievable lies to make him sound important. His speech pattern was such that he seemed to be making up the lies on the spot, and if he came up with a particularly good lie he would say his catchphrase, "That's the ticket!" Tommy Flanagan would appear in sketches and also share his viewpoints on Weekend Update segments.
