The Ordinary Boys

The Ordinary Boys are an English Rock group hailing from Worthing, England. They are heavily influenced by the Mod Revival, Britpop and various 1980s English bands. They have been criticised for a lack of originality, and for being too derivative of these groups.

Band members are Sam Preston (vocals, guitar), William J. Brown (guitar), James Gregory (bass) and Simon Goldring (drums), who replaced Charlie Stanley in 2005. Their influences include The Smiths (their name being derived from a Morrissey song, and the singer originally chose to be known simply by his surname, like Morrissey), The Jam, The Clash and The Specials (a cover of song "Little Bitch" appeared on their debut album and singer Terry Hall appeared in the video for Seaside) amongst other groups.
