The Man Who Cried
The Man Who Cried is a 2000 film by writer-director Sally Potter. It revolves around a Russian Jew separated from her father as a child during World War II. Raised by English parents, the young woman named Suzie (played by Christina Ricci) makes her way to Paris. She meets Cate Blanchett's character, Lola, and they form an interesting friendship. Johnny Depp's character, Cesar, is a performing horse rider who falls in love with Suzie but ultimately has to let her go before the Nazis discover the secret of her origin. John Turturro and Harry Dean Stanton also have major roles in the movie.
