The Long Riders is a Western, produced by James Keach, Stacy Keach and Tim Zinnemann, and directed by Walter Hill, which told part of the story of the Jesse James gang.

The film was notable for casting four sets of actor brothers (James and Stacy Keach, David, Keith and Robert Carradine, Dennis and Randy Quaid and Christopher and Nicholas Guest) as the real-life Jameses, Youngers, Millers and Fords.

The film's plot followed the gang's history fairly well, but omitted their early career as guerilla fighters against the Union Army during the later stages of the American Civil War. It showed in graphic detail the fateful shootout in Northfield, Minnesota in which several of the gang were killed trying to rob the bank.
