The Karate Kid, a 1984 John G. Avildsen film, is a youth-oriented karate version of the hit boxing movie Rocky (also directed by Avildsen).
Trivia
- Because of his boyish looks, Ralph Macchio was able to convincingly play a high school student although he was actually 23 years old during the filming of The Karate Kid.
