The Grind Date
The Grind Date released on October 5, 2004 is the seventh album of De La Soul. This album was intended to be part of the AOI series at first but later that plan was scrapped. Instead they made this album, which includes the single "Shopping Bags". BET refused to play the music video for the song stating it did not appeal to their targeted audience. Many hip-hop fans were outraged by this due to the groups status in hip-hop history. The video was shown on some outlets such as MTV2.
