The Freedom Association
The Freedom Association is a right-wing British pressure group.

Founded as the National Association for Freedom in 1975, it became the Freedom Association (TFA) in 1980. It produces a regular publication, Freedom Today.

At one time the FA held considerable influence, boasting a membership of up to 20,000 in the 1970s. Today it is waning, with an estimated 7,000 members in branches across the country.

The group's president was for many years Norris McWhirter. The former Conservative MP Christopher Gill is the chairman, while former Conservative MP Teresa Gorman is the director.

Professor Antony Flew, the philosopher, serves on the FA's management committee. Its council members include John Bercow MP, Sir Rhodes Boyson and Gerald Howarth MP.
