The Filth and the Fury
The Filth and the Fury is a reference to a headline featured on British tabloid paper the Sun after an interview on BBC Television's "Today with Bill Grundy"; Siouxsie Sioux (of Banshees fame) was a 17 year old groupie who was on the show with the drunken Pistols when ancient (and drunk) interviewer Bill Grundy made a remark about meeting Siouxsie after the show; Glenn Matlock called him a dirty bastard and the show wound down to the gutter from there.

Julien Temple later used the headline for an excellent documentary on the two-year odyssey that was the Sex Pistols. He takes us from the thier humble Shepherds Bush beginnings to thier humble disintigration at Winterland Gardens in San Francisco with many interesting visuals and clips from news and shows of the time.
