The Far Country

Bend of the River is a 1955 American western movie directed by Anthony Mann and starring James Stewart in their fifth and final collaboration.

Plot

Dreamer Jeff Webster (James Stewart) hears of the Klondike gold rush and leaves for Alaska with friend Ben Tatum (Walter Brennan) with a herd of cattle. When he arrives he finds widespread lawlessness, but ignores it until it knocks on his door.
