Miranda Richardson co-starred in a memorable role as toxic Houston divorcee and Aurora Greenway (MacLaine)'s rival, Patsy Carpenter. Juliette Lewis, Marion Ross (Golden Globe nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category), Bill Paxton, Donald Moffatt and Ben Johnson also appeared, with a brief appearance from Jack Nicholson, playing the role he played in Terms of Endearment, Garrett Breadlove.
