The Edge (1997 film)

The Edge is a 1997 survival and relationship drama film starring Anthony Hopkins as a millionaire magazine publicist and Alec Baldwin as one of his ambitious employees. Elle Macpherson has a supporting role as Hopkins trophy wife and model for his magazine, and is sought after by Baldwin.

On a trip to rural Alaska for a photo shoot, their plane crashes into a lake and Hopkins and Baldwin must work together to fend off natural hazards including a huge bear (played by Bart the Bear) and themselves and make it back to civilization. The movie was written by David Mamet, and despite the unusual setting, it touches upon many themes common to Mamet's other works.
