"The Dunwich Horror" is a short story by H. P. Lovecraft. It takes place in Dunwich, a fictional town in Massachusetts. It is an out-of-the-way backwoods village; a place one arrives at upon taking "the wrong fork at the junction of Aylesbury pike just beyond Dean's Corners" ("The Dunwich Horror", Lovecraft).
