The Dreaming (album)

The Dreaming is the fourth album by Kate Bush. After having assisted on Lionheart, and co-producing Never for Ever with Jon Kelly and John L Walters, this is the first she produced herself.

The album is not so much an extension of the experiments from Never for Ever but rather a complete experiment in new (and often scary) musical sounds and textures.

Many fans claim that this is her masterpiece album, and it got to number 3 in the U.K. charts. Kate calls it her "mad album".

The album cover depicts a scene from the song "Houdini." In the picture, Kate is acting as Houdini's wife holding a key in her mouth which she is about to pass to Houdini.
