Overview
Musically, the band was known for its often ominous, heady and complex arrangements, which were grounded in jazz and blues. Yet, the band is best remembered for lead singer/lyricist Jim Morrison who has become a cultural icon for his impassioned vocals, devilish sex appeal and cryptic, mystic-themed lyrics.
