The Desperate Hours

The Desperate Hours is a 1955 film from Paramount Pictures starring Humphrey Bogart.

Plot

Bogart is the main character, a criminal who intrudes on a family, holding them hostage until the police arrive. The audience of the movie, of course, does not care for Bogart's character, as he appears cold and cruel. He is mean and will do anything to get his way. He threatens to kill members of the family, but he does not. At the climax of the film, he attempts to make an escape from the house, but he is gunned down and killed when he leaves.

The movie was later remake at 1990 starring Mickey Rourke , Anthony Hopkins, Mimi Rogers, Kelly Lynch , Lindsay Crouse and David Morse.
