The Dean Martin Comedy World
Created by legendary crooner Dean Martin, The Dean Martin Comedy World traveled around the world to find new comedy acts and show them on the air. While considered an interesting idea, the show was a commercial failure, likely due to the extremely brief segments being shown. Segments were usually very brief, perhaps 30 seconds or a minute, so viewers didn't have enough time to decide if something was funny. The staccato style didn't work out, and the show aired only in 1974.
