In 2004, the show won the TCA award for Outstanding Achievement in News and Information, beating out traditional news shows in the category. Later that year, America (The Book) (see below) was critically praised, winning a nod as Book of the Year from Publishers Weekly

A second Peabody was awarded for the show's "Indecision 2004" coverage four years later.
