The story concerns a customer support employee who discovers that she, and everyone around her are in fact uploaded personalities running in a computer simulation, which reboots each day to what she would believe to be the first day of her job - a shared death cube. She and a few others attempt to plan an eventual escape by leaving 'cookies', cryptic messages for their next generations.
