Hello Youth! (some reminders!)

Just a couple of quick reminders!1) We have a new identity! We have decided to call our group STATIC Youth, which stands for Standing Together As Teens in Christ. Pretty cool idea everyone!2) We are going to Laser Tag on Friday November 21! Please sign the board outside the kitchen at the church or e-mail me at brandon@stmarks.on.ca if you are coming!3) After church this week everyone is invited to my house (2 Kanata Crescent) to watch an exciting afternoon of NFL Football, or just to hang out and have some nachos, potato skins and whatever other delicious snacks pop up! You can walk with me from the church, it's that close!Please have your parents pick you up before 5.I now have official blogging access, so watch out for more from me!See you all soon.Blessings.Brandon

Christmas PARTY!

Hard to believe it's this time of year already, but the December event will be a HUGE Christmas party on Friday, December 19th!We will meet at the church for a pot-luck supper at 6:30 and then continue the merry activities with Christmas movies, some Wii and of course a Secret Santa gift exchange.Make sure you sign up for the party on the Youth Board at the church and indicate what you are going to bring for a food item.If you could also bring a $15 gift that is wrapped and suitable for a guy or girl (preferably not a gift card) and a snack for movie watching later in the evening.The party will wrap up at midnight, please have your parents pick you up then!Ho! Enjoy a week in the beautiful Napa Valley and do something great for the community! I am offering this posting to raise money for my church. We are a small parish, but support ministries from an on campus pre-school to the Sudan in Africa. Check us out on the web: www.ssitf.org Information about the RiverPointe Napa Valley Resort, located on the Napa River, can be found at www.riverpointenapa.com. The one bedroom that I am offering for the week of Sunday through Sunday, December 14 - 21 is approximately a $1,000.00 value. As this is a donation, I am requesting that you give what you can and what is in your heart. Your donation is tax deductible and should be sent directly to the address on the church website. I have took a leap of faith and already held the reservation at the resort. Once a donation is received by the church then I will book the reservation in your name.
