The Chronicle
The Chronicle is the name of the student newspaper at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. The Chronicle was first published as The Trinity Chronicle on December 19, 1905. The paper's name was changed to The Chronicle when Trinity College was renamed Duke University following a generous donation by James Buchanan Duke. Considered one of the finest college newspapers in the United States, The Chronicle commands a budget of more than $1 million and employs a staff of 120.
