The Chase (school)

The Chase, also known as The Chase Technology College and The Chase High School, is a secondary school (ages 11-18) in Malvern, Worcestershire, England. It has been a specialist schools programme Technology College since 1999 and was awarded Beacon school status in 2002. It is one of the largest schools in Worcestershire, having over 1700 on roll and around 200 staff members.

It is administered by the Worcestershire County Directorate of Educational Services, and Heather Williamson is the head of governors. Current headmaster Kevin Peck replaced Sir David Fawbert in 2002, who had been knighted for his services to education during his tenure. There are 16 primary schools in Malvern that feed The Chase and nearby Dyson Perrins.

The school underwent its last OFSTED inspection in 2000, and is therefore scheduled to have one in the 2005/06 academic year.

On the second to last day of the school calendar, all students and staff take part in the traditional walk over the nearby Malvern Hills.

In 2003, Sarah Series (18) of The Chase was joint winner of an IEE award for the Best School Entering the Young Electronic Designer (YEDA) awards for the first time.
