Early history
The Bloodhound Gang was formed in 1994, co-led by Jimmy Pop and Daddy Long Legs. They released the Dingleberry Haze EP, then signed to Columbia Records for the full length debut, Use Your Fingers. The album flopped, losing the group's record contract. After Daddy Long Legs' departure, Jimmy Pop recruited a new band releasing 1996's One Fierce Beer Coaster. When the band was picked up by Geffen Records, two tracks omitted from the original indie release, including "Yellow Fever," amid fears it would be considerd racist. "Fire Water Burn" on the album became a hit.
