The Alarm
The Alarm were a Welsh alternative rock band who were most popular in the 1980s. Formed in Rhyl, Wales in 1977. The Band was originally called Alarm, Alarm. However, the lead singer decided to change the name because too many bands during the early 1980s' had redundant names such as Duran, Duran. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The band members were: ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Mike Peters: Vocals, Guitars, Harmonica ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Dave Sharp: Guitars ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Eddie MacDonald: Bass ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Nigel Twist: Drums ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The band toured extensively through the United States and Europe through the 1980s into 1991. They gained much popularity in 1983 as they were the opening act during U2's War tour. Lead singer, Mike Peters, re-organized the band again with different members and released the "In the Poppy Fields" CD in 2004.
