Terry George
Terry George was born in 1952 in Belfast, Northern Ireland, He is a screenwriter, director, and (executive) producer. He was almost denied a visa to stay in the United States but Irish-American lobbying impacted the State Department and he was allowed to remain. He lives with his wife, Margaret, in Westchester County, New York. Much of his film work (e.g. The Boxer, Some Mother's Son, and In the Name of the Father) has to do with the "Troubles" of Northern Ireland.
