The Terror Twins is a phrase used to describe two of the guitarists who were in Def Leppard together - Phil Collen and Steve Clark.

The reason behind this is that there were antics that the two musicians would get involved in that were considered out of the norm. This union started in July of 1982 when Phil Collen joined Def Leppard, replacing original guitarist Pete Willis and ended with the passing of Steve Clark in London on January 8, 1991.

In between this time, the two guitarists were involved on two albums and tours together - the 1983 release of the album Pyromania and the tour that followed it as well as the 1987 release of the album Hysteria and the tour that followed it until October of 1988 when the two musicians did their final show together in the Seattle, Washington area when the Hysteria tour officially ended. Phil Collen remained in Def Leppard after Steve Clark's passing - from 1992's release of the Adrenalize album (in which he played all of the guitar parts that he and Steve Clark had written) through the release of 2005's Rock Of Ages: The Definitive Collection and will be touring in the summer of 2005 with the band as well as take part in his own side project Man-Raze (with a debut album and tour dates to follow).

Later in March of 2006 Phil Collen, as well as the rest of Def Leppard, plan to release an album of cover songs that will feature songs by artists who have influenced Def Leppard through the 25+ years that the band has been together.

Steve Clark is sadly missed, and is still loved, by Def Leppard fans throughout the world.
