Ternary
Ternary is the base-{{num|3}} numeral system. Ternary digits are known as trits (trinary digit), analogous to bit. This system is also known as trinary.

Although ternary most often refers to a system in which the three digits, {{num|0}}, {{num|1}} and {{num|2}}, are all nonnegative integers, the adjective also lends its name to the balanced ternary system, useful for comparison logic.
