The term Terminal can be used to mean:

- Terminal (telecommunication), a device which is capable of communicating over a line

- The connecting points of a battery are similarly referred to as terminals.
- Terminal station, a passenger rail station where rail service begins and ends; the end of the line.
- Airport terminal, a building at an airport where passengers transfer from ground transportation to the facilities that allow them to board airplanes
- The Terminal, a 2004 film by Steven Spielberg, in which a man is stuck in an airport terminal
- Container terminal, a facility which handles shipping.
- Pipeline terminal, a storage facility at the downstream end of a pipeline transport, typically serving as a buffer between delivery and use
- Computer terminal, a device used for entering and displaying data on a computer
- Terminal illness, a progressive disease that is expected to cause death
- Terminal sedation, the practice of inducing unconsciousness in a terminally ill person for the remainder of the person's life
- Terminal symbol, in formal grammar, is a symbol that cannot be further divided
- the song "Terminal" by Rupert Holmes, from his first solo album, 1970's Widescreen. One of his best known and most loved songs, it is about a commuter who lets his chance at true love slip by.
