Teochew (dialect)
The Teochew, Teochiu, Tiuchiu, Chaozhou, or Diojiu dialect (native name: Diô-ji?-o?; Guangdong romanization: Dio7 Ziu1; Min-nan (prestige dialect such as in Amoy): Tiô-chiu-oē, Chinese: 潮州话, Hanyu Pinyin: Cháozhōuhuà), is a Chinese language and dialect of Minnan spoken in the Chaoshan region of eastern Guangdong.
