TekWar is the title of a series of science fiction novels by William Shatner which gave rise to a TV series and short series of TV movies in which Shatner also appeared. These novels were ghostwritten by Ron Goulart, although Shatner is said to have written the outlines. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

The hero, Jake Cardigan (played by Greg Evigan) is framed for dealing in the drug some 4 years before the start of the story. Having been sentenced to 15 years imprisonment, he is released early. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The TV series ran from 1994 to 1996 and also starred Torri Higginson; Shatner appeared as Cardigan's mentor, Walter Bascom. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
