Tekkaman: The Space Knight

Tekkaman: The Space Knight, originally screening in Japan through 1975 as Uchuu no Kishi Tekkaman, was an anime produced by Tatsunoko Productions. The series was later dubbed and screened internationally in 1984 and '85. It spawned 26 episodes. An oddity of the era, Tekkaman was brought over to the U.S. with no editing to the storyline, music, etc. and even included all of the original violence. The opening theme Tekkaman no Uta is sung by Ichiro Mizuki.

In 1992, a remake of Tekkaman was created, entitled Tekkaman Blade (titled Teknoman in the international version). However, little is shared by the two series, other than the armor concept.
