Tata Group
Tata is one of the oldest and best-known group of companies in India. The group takes the name of its founder, Sir Jamshedji Tata, a member of whose family has almost invariably been the chairman of the group. The present chairman is Ratan Tata, who took over from the justly renowned J.R.D. Tata in the 1990s. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
