Taplow is a village in Buckinghamshire, England. It sits on the east bank of the River Thames facing Maidenhead on the opposite bank.

The village name is Anglo Saxon in origin, and means 'T?ppa's hill'. It was recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086 as Thapeslau.
