Tango & Cash is a 1989 American movie starring Sylvester Stallone and Kurt Russell.

Overview

Ray Tango and Gabriel Cash are two highly successful Los Angeles-based narcotics cops who work in different precincts and cannot stand each other. Tango is a smooth, organized businessman who spends the morning with the Wall Street Journal, while Cash is a sloppy bachelor in the tradition of Martin Riggs. Between the two of them, they have seized millions of dollars of drugs and weapons that belong to crimelord Yves Perret.

Perret decides to take care of both of these thorns in his side, but he doesn't want to create martyrs so he frames them for murder. He controls the prisons, and he believes that he can easily have them killed there once they are sufficiently disgraced.

Once in prison, Tango and Cash finally put aside their differences and team up to escape. After some cursory investigations and a quick visit to the police "reseach division" to pick up some exotic weapons, they head straight for Perret's headquarters to exact fiery vengeance, as well as rescue Tango's sister whom Perret has taken hostage. Many explosions and a dead crimelord result.
