Talk box
The talk box is a musical device used to manipulate sound, mostly with guitars. It has been used by artists such as Aerosmith, Peter Frampton, Joe Walsh, Zapp, George Clinton, Daft Punk and Chromeo. Although the talk box is not as popular today as it once was, many companies still manufacture it.

A talk box works by producing an amplified sound with a speaker, and directing the sound through a tube. The tube is held in the performer's mouth, and aimed at a microphone. The performer then "shapes" the sound by altering the shape and position of the tube with his mouth.

The talk box is famously featured on several Peter Frampton songs, including "Do You Feel Like We Do" and "Show Me the Way," as well as the Bon Jovi songs "Living on a Prayer" and "It's my Life."
