Combining an old-school sound with thrashy, guttural vocals, Taking Sides draw from a diverse range of musical influences, including the likes of Negative Approach, Dirty Rotten Imbeciles and Chain Of Strength. After signing with Sydney's Resist Records, the band released a well-received demo cassette in mid-2003, which was soon followed by their incendiary six-track EP, Smash The Windows To The Dead Hearts.
