Table tennis, also known as Ping-Pong (a trademarked name), is one of the most popular games in the world in terms of player numbers, as well as being one of the newest of the major sports. "Ping pong ball" ({{zh-cp|c=乒乓球|p=pīngpāng qiú}}) is the official name for the sport in China and Taiwan.
