Syrup is a satirical comedy of marketing and consumerism written by Max Barry. Published in 1999, it is Barry's debut novel.

A young marketing graduate named Scat comes up with an idea for Coca-Cola called Fukk, and this propels him into a world of backstabbing, ladder-climbing marketers including his roommate Sneaky Pete and 6, a beautiful and intelligent executive at Coca-Cola who claims to be a lesbian; Scat refuses to believe this and falls in love with her.
