SynthAxe


 
 

The Synthaxe was an instrument created by Bill Aitken. Shaped roughly like a guitar but functioning with the internal technology of a synthesizer, the Synthaxe was essentially a MIDI controller with a string-based interface and an additional set of keys. Upon its release in 1986, the Synthaxe carried a price tag of 10,000 pounds.
