Suzi Quatro
![]() Suzi Quatro (born Susan Kay Quatrocchio on June 3, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan.) is a bassist, singer, radio personality and actress. Her father, Art Quatrocchio, was of Italian descent and her mother, Helen Rebel, was of Hungarian ancestry. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ She began her career in the United States with The Pleasure Seekers and Cradle, then moved to England in 1971 where she was discovered by record producer Mickie Most. She achieved worldwide success with several hit Heavy Rock/Glam Rock songs throughout the 1970's, including Can the Can in 1973 and Devil Gate Drive in 1974. Her duet with Chris Norman of the band Smokie, Stumblin' In, was a pop hit in the United States in 1979. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Quatro has performed as an actress in roles as varied as Annie Oakley in an 1986 London production of Annie Get Your Gun and, most famously, as Leather Tuscadero in the TV show Happy Days. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ She currently lives both in England and Germany and hosts a weekly Rock and Roll program on BBC Radio 2. She also continues to tour the world as a musician. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
