Sussex County Cricket Club

Sussex County Cricket Club is one of the 18 major counties which make up the English domestic cricket structure, representing the historic county of Sussex. It plays one day cricket as the Sussex Sharks. England's oldest county cricket club, Sussex CCC was formed in 1839, but had to wait until 2003 for its first County Championship title. Before the County Championship officially began in 1890, an unofficial County Championship existed, which Sussex won outright 7 times between 1825 and 1889 and which Sussex shared with Nottinghamshire in 1852. The club plays most of their home games at the County Cricket Ground. The club also plays some games around the county at Arundel, Eastbourne and Horsham.
