Susanna Kaysen
Susanna Kaysen is an American author born in 1948 and raised in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In 1967, she was sent to McLean Hospital to undergo psychiatric treatment for depression. She was released two years later. She later drew on this experience for her 1994 novel Girl, Interrupted, which was made into a movie in 1999 with her role being filled by actress Winona Ryder.
