Susan Stafford

Susan Stafford (b. 1945) was the original hostess of the game show Wheel of Fortune from January 5, 1975 to October 22, 1982, when she was replaced by Vanna White. She returned to the show briefly in 1986 to substitute for Vanna White, who was grieving the death of her then-boyfriend.

After leaving the show, she earned a B.A. in Nutrition and an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Pacific Western University.
