Superdon

A Superdon (or 'Celebrity Don') is a university professor who is repeatedly called upon to comment in television documentaries. The name arises from media critisisms of professors using such programmes to enhance their fame, and also to publicise their own viewpoints/theories, at the expense of their students time. The term is a portmanteau combining Superman and University Don.
