Super Troopers

Super Troopers is a 2001 comedy film written by and starring the Broken Lizard comedy group (Jay Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter and Erik Stolhanske), co-starring Marisa Coughlan and Brian Cox, and directed by Chandrasekhar.

The Troopers

  • Arcot 'Thorny' Ramathorn (Jay Chandrasekhar) - The senior trooper in the group. He has a girlfriend and a son, Arlo. He invites inmates to share his bed with himself and his wife.
  • Robert 'Rabbit' Roto (Erik Stolhanske) - The rookie trooper. The least desired tasks are often delegated to him, though he is generally well-liked. Often the butt of pranks.
  • MacIntyre 'Mac' Womack (Steve Lemme) - Though all the troopers enjoy pranks, Mac is arguably the most dedicated. His pranks include the "metal cup" and the "repeater", as well as the opening scene.
  • Jeff Foster (Paul Soter) - His incompetent wooing of Ursula (Marisa Coughlan) is a source of comedy throughout the movie.
  • Rodney Farva (Kevin Heffernan) - Farva is the least likable trooper. He is also eternally suspended, due to his inability to control himself when on duty. Farva is fat and stupid and often tries unsucessfully to be one of the boys.
  • John O'Hagan (Brian Cox) - The captain of the group. While he was once a prankster himself, he now is preoccupied with avoiding the impending budget cut.
