Sunderland, Ontario


 

Sunderland is a suburban village located northwest of Port Perry, east of Beaverton and SE of Orillia on Brock Road (Highway 7 and Highway 12) linking Whitby, Orillia and to Lindsay and Peterborough and another road to Zephyr and south of Oakwood. Sunderland is located near Brock. The majority of the population are farmers while a small portion are non-rural businesses. The area around Sunderland once served a railway station for the Toronto - Lindsay Line. Sunderland is situated in an area that are made up of farmlands. Forests and the swampy Nonquon Park lies to the south. Area code 705 is bounded to the north. Sunderland is located about 100 km NE of Toronto, about 50 km NW of Oshawa, about 20 km SE of Beaverton, SSE of Orillia and W of Lindsay.
